watching s7e19 empty places and s7e20 touched is so insane because like. buffy has tried her best to protect these girls. yes, she's made mistakes, but how could she not? she's never had to look out for such a big team, most of them rather incompetent (which isn't their fault either), and the other potentials have made mistakes, too. but all the time before, her scoobies have had certain skills, so this is a completely new situation. also, she's never been a perfect leader, not in this season, and not before. but again, she's never had such a big and relatively incompetent team. what i find extremely wild is that willow, anya and xander are also so against her. faith isn't great either (and i really love her) but the way everyone, faith included, is critizing buffy about "being a harsh/singular leader" and then immediately becoming just that once they threw buffy out is crazy. the fact buffy believes them is so heartbreaking as well... she doesn't see how much she's been trying.

and once again, spike is the only one who stood up for her. who, in the last ~2 seasons, has always stood up for her. once again, with feeling comes to mind. "i'll be free if that bitch burns. i better go help her." giles (also very shitty in empty places and touched and also before that, trying to kill spike) wants her to go alone to fight the demon, but spike knows that going alone is what kills slayers. it's how he killed two slayers. but even before that, like constantly protecting dawn throughout seasons 5 and 6, getting kidnapped and almost killed by glory but not giving dawn up, or "i made a promise to a lady" during the ritual, the way he breaks down after buffy's died. and even after that, he still takes care of dawn, is still around. but he's not even told the scoobies are trying to resurrect buffy. giles continually telling him that his opinion isn't something the scoobies could ever use. after everything he did, he is still not respected. the only person who ever sees him is buffy, and as much as i like their relationship, she needs a long time to see him and to accept it. but when she does, it's magical.

it's 2024 and Eliza's Faith Lehane is STILL the MVP!

so yeah, yet another Eliza Dushku appreciation post!

(I'm remaking this in 2024 to keep it positive. Felt like my last version of this got overly negative about a certain character and ship.)

Yes I am still not over the fact that Faith didn't have a last name until 2 years AFTER BTVS went off the air. She literally DID NOT HAVE A LAST NAME the whole time she was on the show. (Neither did Kendra BTW.)

In the literal dictionary sense: Faith is technically a minor character in terms of screen time. (Whaaaa???) She was in 20 episodes of BTVS and 6 of ATS. She was never listed in the main cast for either. She was not in the BTVS (or ATS) 20 year cast reunion.

We know Eliza played Faith as having a crush on Buffy. In cons Eliza consistently supported the idea of Fuffy (Faith x Buffy). If your view cuts off the right gif caption, it's Eliza saying "me and Buffy should've made out."

26 years after her debut, and people are still talking about Faith Lehane! There's gorgeous gifsets and insightful meta essays and brilliant shit posts and cute text posts and amazing webweaving poetry posts and even polls about Faith. And all the same for Fuffy! (I'm not even talking about the fanfic, even though new Faith and Fuffy fanfic is still getting posted.)

Faith and Fuffy are still inspiring people, even though the show has been off the air for 20+ years now!

So... also proud to be a part of FUFFY Nation. Sometimes I get a little choked up (like Buffy here) and sometimes I get impressed and thoughtful (like Faith here).

omfg, I'm watching this video on youtube about somebody watching BtVS and reacting to the episodes, and she's watching 7x21, and when Spuffy were talking in the kitchen, she was all over Spike, how sweet he is, and how dumb they both are for not communicatin better and she might become a Spuffy shipper at the end.

Then Angel showed up, and okay, I knew from previous videos that she loves Angel, but omfg she just said that Angel is Buffy's biggest cheerleader, and I'm like ?????? Excuse me, were you watching the same show as I was??? Like, after Spike's speech in 7x20, how can anyone say that there is anybody (okay, maybe Dawn, but I'm not sure even about her) who supports Buffy more??????

And this person obviously watched AtS too, and I just cannot understand, how can somebody be a Bangel shipper after watching the last 3 episodes of Buffy and watching AtS where Angel and Cordy could've been like the perfect couple!!
